To make money off of other people's debts; to fulfill the dream of capitalism. Sad, isn't it? It is easier to use currency than bartering resources. It is also easier to take wealth from people when there is actual currency.

as we all know , before societies using currency they were trading things and object instead. example; a sack of rice for a sack of sugar, and the they start using gold as currency, the paper ( I owe you ) and that became what we call now a days checks then governments start to print paper IOU with the value of the amount and became currency certified by it.

because it is easier to use in exchange for what we want than lets says barter trade. try giving your hairdresser a massage in exchange for your haircut... he must value your massage as much as he values the effort and time he takes for your haircut and he must want your massage... too many variables and too hard to find such a match. so currency becomes a much easier alternative.

without currency, you can safely say that our economic development would not be where it is today
