The only US Currency coin presently minted are: $1 US Presidental coin, and the $1 American Eagle (silver and not normally circulated). There were other $1 coins but none of any other higher denomination. The present coins b eing minted are: 1 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent, 25 cent and the 50 cent, $1 Presidental and the $1 American Eagle. There are gold coins - American Eagle (not circulated) - $5, $10, $25 and $50. The $1 coins that you may see in circulation are: Presidental, Sacagawea, Susan B. Anthony and Ike Dollar. The Peace Dollar, Morgan Dollar, Trade Dollar, Liberty Seated Dollar, Draped Bust Dollar and Flowing Hair Dollar are all made from silver and probably will not be seen in circulation. All coins presently being minted and those minted in the past are legal tender and could be used today.
