You need to learn more before you start. At the rate you are going, you are going to lose all your money without it being a scam. Start by getting your terminology right. Currency markets are for currency. Stock markets are for stock. There is no such thing as a currency stock market. Nobody is using the forex name because it is not a name; it is short for "foreign exchange", i.e. currency trading.

In most countries, there will be some sort of certification that the government maintains so you can check on them.
There are many illegal forex companies and if the market is working well, generally they'll be OK but if the market turns volatile, they can fold up overnight. I had such an experience before and lost all my money with them.

Hi,
I have been trading for nearly 3 years. I would recommend Etoro, very innovative platform which makes your trading very easy to understand truly unlike any other platform you have ever seen, I guarantee it. They also have some of the smallest spreads I 've seen - 2 pips. They have free unlimited demo accounts and you can compete for cash prizes with your demo account. The USA version is here: http://www.etoro.com/B165_A579_TClick.aspx
