It is often said that 90% of people who invest in forex lose money, but I know a lot of people who can continually make money.
Personally I have been investing in Forex for about 4 months now and have made a 75% return so far. See the details here:

I think that it is very possible for someone to make a return of several hundred % annually using Forex IF they know what they are doing.

Focus more on fundamentals than technical analysis. Economic news analysis is what moves the markets.
Here is a free site that shows what has happened after economic news releases:

Forex is a very volatile market and is a very risky investment. You need to get the most information you can get and learn all you need to know before you try to get involve in it. For a start, I suggest you register to this site and download a Free Ebook . Should you wish to really get head on, you can make an initial deposit of at least $100.00, which you can also use to trade later, and you will be provided a personal Account Service Manager (ASM) with whom you can talk live via phone, email or chat. You can then take this opportunity to ask everything you want to know about forex. Being an expert forex trader himself, your ASM will be your best resource person and he will even trade along with you so that you will get to familiar yourself about how the real trade is done and give you the tips and tricks you need to know and do to achieve a profitable forex dealing.

In Forex trading, you either win or lose. There are many people who jump in and trade and end up losing. Others take it seriously and excel at it just like any other trade.
If you are good, you can really make money. Nothing is easier. But if you don't know what you are doing you can lose a lot.
I have been trading since last year but never really made any significant amount but the last few months I have made some money as I finally got the hang of it. I started using some software systems and I'm thinking of quiting my job if I reach my target.
