Not all countries in the EU have elected to use the Euro, one example is the UK where they still use their local currency.
If you go to Hungry with your Hungry visa, the visa is valid only for Hungry. You can go to other European countries depending on if you need a visa for that country or not. Ie: if you want to go to Germany, it will depend on your nationality if you need a visa or not. If you do not require a visa then you can go there. The best thing to do is contact the countries consulate in your country - or ask your travel agent for a list of countries you require a visa for.

Hungary originally planned to adopt the euro as its official currency on 1 January 2010, but that date has been abandoned because of the EXCESSIVELY HIGH BUDGET DEFICIT
The current plan is to prepare a road map in mid-2008, without any target date.
Hungarian euro coins have not yet been designed. Current plans indicate the design of the national side is to be designed in 2008.

Sorry but the first person is not correct.
If you require a visa then Hungary is part of the Schengen agreement (since last year) and hence if you have a Schengen visa (which is more than merely a transit visa - you can read more about this here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_visa#Schengen_visa) then you are free to travel within the Schengen zone & all the countries within.
Note the Schengen zone is NOT the same as the EU with notable exceptions such as the UK & Ireland where you have to apply for a visa seperately still, and also not yet in Romania or Bulgaria plus inclusions of non-EU countries such as Iceland and Norway (but you can read about this on the same page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_visa#Status_of_membership_and_implementation)

Bla bla is correct !
Hungary is also part of the Schengen countries, so if you have a visa for one of the shengencountries you can travel in all the others.
Not every country that have signed in the EC do use the euro as currency. Some of the countries has decided to maintain there own currency (ex GB), others aren't yet allowed to use this currency (because of financial conditions).
