I am a newbie to foreign exchange investing. I am not a very good day trader. Are there tradeable instruments to take a longer-term positions (i.e., # of months) on the movement of currencies? Is so, what are they?
So I opened a mock account and I am doing pretty well, I've been doing it for a month and two days and I made 50k, well here's my problems:
I don't understand what it means 200:1?? I know its like I have good faith money for higher money but how does it affect me if I make a wrong trade?
Also, I know Bollinger Band and MACD fairly well, what are some other strong indicators I need to learn? I am really stuck, I want to open a real account pretty soon but I have no idea how these work or how I can be influenced by 200:1… So please can someone help me out? I have other questions too I just need a guide
I had an argument just a while ago. The main statement was that a strong currency has to reflect a strong economy. So as long as a country is not as economically powerful as the US, it will have a hard time issuing a currency that has an exchange rate of 1:1 to the dollar.
The Ghanaian cedis used to be 1:1500 which obviously reflects inflation. A year ago Ghana decided to issue a new currency which is now 1:1.097 to the dollar, which is as good as 1:1. The economy of Ghana has not changed; one currency has merely been replaced by the other. Isn't that enough to prove that a strong currency does not reflect a strong economy?
Does a currency which is not suffering under inflation always have to have a strong economy with many resources to back it? Or do those two things have to be seperated?
Imagine I create a new country. How do I assign a value to my currency? Can it be just any arbitrary value? Pretty much what ever is most convenient, without worrying about the rest of the world. Or is there more I have to put into consideration? And how do I determine the exchange rate once that currency has been created?
Wouldnt it be better if the usa currency was WEED?
Man why do so many people think weed is bad?
"if you start using weed might as well go to the hardcore drugs"
Weed can be used for medical issues, and ppeople still think its bad?
I think everyone against weed or doesnt care or who ever should watch super high me

I would like to know any important details about Forex, mainly costs of commision fees if there are any (I am sure there are) and if this is the best choice for currency trading. Thanks!
As a novice what does it require to know about forex before you begin trading.
