The dollar is already something like the euro. The individual states used to have their own individual currencies when our founding fathers realized that we needed a common currency so the dollar was created.

Hi Darkangel,
We changed to the Euro in Europe because we had so many different currencies. In the case of the USA it would serve no purpose changing.

On the other hand, it is the nation that invented 'rebranding'....lol!

Not as yet. We are a large country with 50 states and more territories and aren't in a situation like Europe with small countries with trading agreements and much travel between countries.

Right now, we have updated our bills so they are more distinctive looking and are harder to counterfeit. If we went with something like the euro, we would probably have an agreement with Mexico and Canada, but that seems very unlikely.

It's not exactly the USA.. but there is much evidence, rumor and speculation that certain powers are working towards an EU type union for the three countries that make up North America.. the NAU ( North American Union). A common currency would be part of that plan.

An art coin maker did come up with a rendition of the 'Amero'.. though they were not legal currency, they are frighteningly realistic. There was an internet hoax going around for a while that they were real currency that was being minted already, and a security guard had snuck them out of the US mint that was making them. All false.. they were just art.

The fact that there are those who would put this plan through is a certainty. The only problem; is myself and millions of my well-armed brethren will not allow it to happen so long as there is breath in our bodies.

Depending on how much you believe in 'conspiracy theories'.. it could be part of the reason there are now over 800 concentration camps built within the US. All ready to receive... someone. This is fact; what they are really for, we don't know. The official government explanation is 'refugee camps for a mass influx of people from other countries, or in case of natural disaster'. Sure.. that's why they are all surrounded in barbed wire & guard / sniper towers.

To learn more, google NAU, SPP, Amero, Rex 84, Operations 'Cable Splicer' and 'Garden Plot'. Any of those will open the door... and your eyes. Lots of stuff on youtube on them as well. How much is true? Your guess is as good as mine, and it's all to be taken with a grain of salt. But there is something happening, bank on that.
