Has anyone honestly used such software before and generated a profit? Does the software work? What are the pros and cons?

The answer is that the software does work. The automated expert advisers are extremely well designed but if you think you can just turn it on and it will make you rich your wrong.
If you understand the basics of forex and are guided to an extent then they can deliver profits.
A guy called Jason Jankovsky, a professional trader from Chicago, has a community which teaches people how to use these automated forex programs and also teaches all other aspects of forex on a 1 on 1 basis.
I’ve done a review on his community on my blog: http://theforexbrotherhoodreview.blogspot.com/

I’ve been using a system called “Forex Autopilot” for some time with a decent level of success.
I found it whilst looking for automatic trading systems and it’s basically a piece of software and several detailed guides which remove most of the stress and trauma with “old skool” trading.
I found this review VERY helpful: http://www.forexfromscratch.com/forex_autopilot_review.html
It’s compiled of actual customer comments from all over the Internet so it’s totally unbiased.
Hope this helps?

If you are looking for a good forex software program with little investment, check out Forex Killer. I will give you a link so you can check out the software before you buy. This is a review, not the actual link to the program.

Yes, I’ve used Forex Autopilot successfully for some time now. But don’t think you can just turn it on and pull in money in your sleep.
You still need to monitor the market fundamentals and trading sentiment. Now and then, you will need to turn Forex Autopilot off, especially before major news announcements by the Fed or european ECB.
But, it’s still a great way for newbies to get into Forex.
