I’m off to Turkey in just over a week and I was wondering whether they use Euros there…or whether they have their own currency.

They use the New Turkish Lira (TRY).

The official currency is the New Turkish Lira (YTL) but in tourist areas you can also pay with Euro’s or Dollars.

When I was in Turkey, in 2003, it was Turkish Lira, but they accepted euros too in the touristic places.
