		<description>yes, they exist and are legal tender, but the government hasn't printed anything bigger than 100 dollar bills since the 1970s.  This was in order to make life harder for Drug Dealers and other criminals.

Imagine how easy it would be to put a million dollars in a brief case if all the bills were 1000 dollar bills?

500 and 1000 dollar bills are now collector's items, worth more than face value.  But i am sure soon they will not be legal-tender because the government likes to play games that way.</description>
