A lot of countries are in recession, there has been talk about the amero in the past. I think it's possible.
I really think all of this will lead to a one world currency. There have been quite a few economist talking about a depression. There is a guy "Peter Schiff" who was explaining on CNN what is going on and I guess someone didn't want him telling the truth about the federal reserve, and all of a sudden they lost the signal, rainbow screen and all.

Not unless you think that countries like the United States. Japan and China are going to give up their national sovereignty.

No way not ever! There’s just not a chance that that would ever happen. The countries of the world are all way too different and at such different stages of development, not only in economic terms, but also politically, socially and culturally it just wouldn’t work.

The Only World Currency in my book is: Gold
No Government can create it at will. You must dig it out of the
ground if you want more. Thus making Mother Earth the only Central Bank on Earth with the side effect of nearly 0% inflation.

Maybe not soon but it’s being advocated by Nobel economist
Robert Mundell, father of the Euro. See interview with Wall Street
Journal.
