I love Glenn Beck, but the man is CRAZY. When he starts talking about this NWO conspiracy rot, you know it is time to change the channel.

I'm actually for global currency, and I prefer the British Pound (God save the Queen).
EDIT: I always say God save the Queen, I love singing the British National Anthem. The queen would like a raise, she's suffering in these tough economic times

That whole NWO idea is a ploy and is meant to scare the non-intellectuals of the world into voting for right wing candidates. Judging by your question, you should be smarter than that.

For your question, a good example would be the euro which when they first switched crashed dramatically. However after the initial crash it regained value and passed the dollar in value and is quickly becoming “the” currency for investments. I’d say to stay competitive, we NEED to do something about our own currency, and something along the lines of the euro in North America could be a good solution to this. As for the “global currency” maybe Obama supports it, but realistically its not feasible in the current state of the world. It would destabalize all of the developed countries of the world economically.

Are some people really that nuts or is it just an act to get attention? The value of ’stuff’ goes up and down. Stocks are down. Why? Because people don’t believe that certain companies are producing profits….so they sell. Gold and silver go up. Bonds go down. Skirts go up…pants come down. Gas went way up…oops….now its down. If everything these reactionary mouths say about Obama was true there would be at least a dozen things out there with proof positive. Buy a clue…..THEY MAKE THIS &^%$ UP! All I know is when this guy gets up to speak he speaks directly to the issues….no passive sentences….he snaps out real world decisions and people rush to carry out his orders. This guy is totally centered on the job at hand and has zero time for all this foolish BS that the republicans have slid by on for the past eight years. He doesn’t wave the flag, he doesn’t shake the cross. He deals with objective reality. He doesn’t do dumb things The guy is a leader. Pay off your debts, don’t buy it unless you’re going to wear it or it it. Live well within you income. Don’t take chances with your health. If you’re married, stay that way….divorce will screw you worse than the general economy ever will. Don’t have too many kids. You can’t afford them. All this will blow over! Obama will do his part…..you have to do yours!

Obama will be president not dictator, so it does not matter what he wants unless he can get congress to go along, and that will not happen. After listening to Obama talk about the economic issues , I don't think he has an opinion on most of them one way or the other and I doubt he has ever thought about them until he decided to run for president. Now he just says what his advisers tell him, and they are sensible people not crazies, so I don't think we need to worry that he will do something silly.
The best thing to do in an economy like this is to keep your money in cash or short term government bonds, so that when the economy recovers you can buy bargains at depressed prices. The problem is deflation not inflation and all assets are falling in value.
