This is more of a survey than anything, but for forex traders, how useful is the Commitment of Traders report released by the CFTC? I heard that it is used to measure and gauge volumes on forex futures contracts. Is this true? On a scale of 1-10, how useful is the COT to you? I'm going to select the best answer on five days from today.

I am going to Italy in 2 weeks and went to go exchange currency at my bank today. I was going to wait, but the value was dropping so I wanted to do it asap. Now the value is going up. A few questions I have are, which rate will the bank give me, do you think they put my request through today, will they give me the top value of the day? I don't go to a large chain bank, just a local one, do you think if I'm polite they will reprocess the request so I can get a better rate?
That will go into your Bank account and not in your saftey deposit box.
