If you plan in advance and look around you may be able to get a good exchange rate. The currency exchange at the airport tends to have the worst rate of exchange! You (more than likely) will not actually be charged for changing your money that way. Your only 'extra' charges will be for using an ATM of a bank other than your own...but even charges like this vary from bank to bank.
