The world reserve currency is already the dollar; it has been since 1944 when Bretton Woods Conference declared it the anchor currency. The only other currency that has a chance at replacing it is the Chinese R&B as it is already widely held by global central banks around the world, but it, itself, isn't a competitive international currency.
