After watching Rogue Trader I have become more interested in how you can manipulate the market with huge amounts of money.
How exactly would you do this for example on the Forex Markets?

Yes, if you have a massive amount of money and a tiny, illiquid currency like for example the Djibouti franc it should be pretty easy.

you could influence "small" currencies with a lot of money.

In theory yes, but in practice it would take many billions of dollars. Big government-sponsored banks sometimes come into the market to drive up one currency or drive down another and it's effective for a short while but even they can't prop up a currency forever if it's crappy and going to fall.

Yes it's possible. Just like what everybody else says, billions and billions of dollars.

only the illiquid currencies with huge amounts of money, and only for a short period of time. not enough to actually make any money from it though IMHO
