The FED took us away from the gold standard. They failed us with the debt standard, and I think the next is a worldwide carbon standard. I've restled with the idea of a diabolical plan, but concluded all things seem to lead toward the idea of one world currency, which would make a man both free and resposible for every breathe he takes. Isn't that nature? Have we not been trying to fight that since the first society? Are we an overgrown forest ready for a burn?

Huh. This is meant to humorous, right. I think that if more people understood what a central bank is and what it does there would be riots in the streets

For a period of time last year much of the world's currency was based on carbon via the price of oil and the flows of currency to nations selling it. Some pure libertarians agree with your thoughts over the future where a person should be responsible for the air they breathe as well as even the space which their body displaces, since both may have value which would be better deployed towards more valuable activities. I think I caught an interview on NPR with Richard Dawkins suggesting the same.
I agree, the future could really change some of the taken for granted things we have now.
