  1. some states such as China are trying to get a world currency going instead of having all these other currencies that have to be translated into dollars. This would simplify things a lot and make the distribution of wealth more even among countries.

Pretty much a world currency would make the wealth more spread out and would make trade easier.

The only problem is the U.S. does not want it's dollar replaced by a world currency and we can't even start replacing the dollar until the economic fallout is done with otherwise a replacing of the dollar would make the economic problem even worse.

  2. one wprld currency.. well wen the world has one currency. idk much but it will probably happen. but wat matters to me is that wen it does happen in the bible that is a sign of the anti-christ appearing and the end of the world so u better get saved. (but for a good reason) just so u no!! =)

  3. China has proposed since they hold so much in US dollars and also since all oil sales are denominated in dollars. As one US official said, "Not gonna happen." I don't think Germany is on board with anything, but China will certainly make a move to strengthen their position.

China is pushing for a world currency because the U.S. dollar hegemony means that world trade is dependent on the value of the American dollar. China is already the largest holder of American dollars and they are fearful that we are going to devalue the dollar to get out of our debts. There are numerous countries who are against the dollar hegemony which may push for a world currency, but I doubt it will work. Look at all the problems with the Euro.

China wants it, Chinas's colonies want it, the US Sec't of the Treasury wants it; nobody else does.
