Billy - I'm sorry, I Didn't know disrespecting other religions was as bad as genocide. How do you think the current phrase affects atheists, agnostics, polytheists, and religious atheists, like Buddhists? You think they enjoy having the abrahamic god shoved in their face?

Wouldn't care.
I'm not American.

God shouldn't even be a part of the discourse. People should realize he doesn't exist when they catch their parents switching their tooth with money in the middle of the night.
May 25th, 2009 at 3:24 am
god has no business on our money, positive or otherwise.

I'd feel sad that they've been fooled.

That would send to many other religious groups, not just the Christian ones, up in arms so I'm not for it and it would make me mad because it's all around disrespectful to people of all faiths.
And if you disagree with me, you sir are worse than Hitler.

I would feel someone made a mistake and it was not God.
May 25th, 2009 at 3:24 am
I would move out of the country.

I wouldnt care, i could still masturbate over the pictures on the back.

Quite accurate, as there is no God in money, only greed and hate
May 25th, 2009 at 3:24 am
since it's a saying on currency, it should say, "I am god". lol.

I wouldn't care one way or the other. Besides, I use my debit card most of the time anyway.

I'm against any mention of God or religion on our currency, so I would be uncomfortable with that. But I understand the point you're making. It's so easy to say "why do you atheists care about what's on our money?" … as long as the words on our money support YOUR beliefs and not someone else's.

Indifferent. There's no religious nonsense on the euro which pleases me because it's the only currency that interests me at present.

I don't like "In God We Trust" on our money, but I don't think Seeing "There is no god" would be very encouraging either. It sort of gives the connotation of our money being hopeless. Which it is, but we don't need a reminder.

I would spend it just the same and everyone who would be upset could give their money to me

I'm against any mention of God or religion on our currency,

I would not feel any different than I do now, I pray most people would no its a devilish trick.

I'd much rather it didn't say anything about God at all, since the two things seldom have much to do with each other.
May 25th, 2009 at 3:24 am
I will still collect them.

Excellent question.
Just don't screw it up by using antagonistic rhetoric like "shoving the abrahamic god in their face." One of my pet peeves is when an atheist makes a perfectly valid point, but then makes it impossible to complement because it is surrounded by inflammatory and troll-like behavior.

Indifferent
May 25th, 2009 at 3:24 am
I would be okay with that…
EDIT:
Billy, get over it. Saying there is no God is not as bad as Genocide.
I say the same thing about how america automatically assumes we all believe in the same God. I resent that!

I would find it very funny. In fact I am all for it.

I don't care one way or the other, it's just a phrase, doesn't change the worth of my dollar. "In God we trust", "There is no God", both seem equally pointless to me. It's not like anyone really reads anything on the money, besides the numbers in the corners.
May 25th, 2009 at 3:24 am
Seems a lot more consistent with the American perspective on money than "in God we trust"…but I think "in money we trust" would be more honest.

I could not care less dear. I use euro and of course, no reference to bronze age middle eastern goat herders fairy tales there.
