It has already started with the formation of the Euro. Is the World bank, the IMF, and the Federal Reserve already taking steps into integrating the currencies of North America, and ultimately the world?
I believe Obama’s aspirations are greater than just turning America into a crappy socialistic Euro trash country. I think there is a North American Union on the way which will take over the European Union by way of peace or war.

If the Euro became a reality, the Amero will. It will be the case. Probably not any day now but the people of European soveriegn nations were afraid of this happening forever and it did.
The world is already under one government except for a few countries. They openly tell us every single day on the news. They don’t even need to have one currency or to fool us into thinking that we are each in different countries. There is no difference. We are actually all in a control grid and can be monitored at all times.
And I believe that Obama is just another puppet for the bank of the world (calling them the NWO, Bilderberg group and whatnot makes people think that you are a loon).

Quit worry’n and buy some gold, ya know it’s not just in WOW anymore, they have it in real life too!. In fact, it was a currency before the concept of currency took place.

It’s a possible and likely step for the human race given a length of time in the distance future, however I’m not frightened by the idea of it. And I don;t understand the purpose of conspiracy theories on it, the only people who can be stimulated by the idea of this are christians who are reminded of the anti-christ story in the bible at the mention of a one world government, however for non-christians, it’s life as usual.
It’s not even feasible in the next decade unless Obama is able to unite every single nation on earth during his adminstration, I laugh at the chances of that happening and even if it does, unity is a good thing.

If Obama has his own way ( and that of the powers that got him elected) he will advance the cause of one world government. Hopefully he will run out of time even in 8 not 4 years to see it to fruition. No North American Union I would imagine, but rather a subtle absorption of the European Union and the Middle east. These infused with the Obama agenda to create one world government to begin on working the holdouts like China, Japan etc until they can eventually be assimilated through embargo and other pressures by the conglomerate of the New World Order. I don’t think you will see war until much later in the process, as some of the holdouts resort to military defense of their sovereignty and nations.
I don’t doubt the varsity or possibility of One World Order or government I just don’t see it coming together or even reaching open conflict like war for many many years, 2/3 of the civilized world governments are still openly opposed to such a concept, China being the largest and most capable adversary of such a proposition.
Fortunately I believe the American people are opposed to such a proposition and even though creeps like Obama are all for it ( hell he hopes to chair it) there is still enough America in many of us Americans to make it a difficult thing to accomplish. Liberals, nationalist and socialist still need to gain much more power and strength in number to pull it off in America at this point, certain demise would be the reward of any politician including Obama who pushed the envelop to hard too fast in the face of Americans, we are not that wracked and weak yet. Obama is like a cancer but he wont be around long enough to experience our death, he will just have to go to his grave knowing he played a major role in it.

It’s definitely started. And I disagree with Astro–for some of us, it isn’t a Christian thing. I am not at all interested in being ruled by a one-world government. Furthermore, UNITY is not a possibility when you have so many different clashing cultures. That’s a pipe dream.

Through the bailouts and other massive US government debts the dollar will soon not be worth anything. Then the perpetrators of this horror story will produce their "solution" out of the hat - a new currency for the US, Canada, Mexico, and perhaps one or two other Central American countries as well, probably called the "Amero", or something ridiculous like that.
The so-called "Euro" has successfully been foisted on most European countries, and will probably spread across all Europe before long. The same process is at work in South East Asia, which will probably include Australia and New Zealand as well. That leaves Africa, South America and the Middle East, and I’m sure the sickly New World Order plotters will find something for them, perhaps akin to the Zimbabwean trillion dollar note, and counting.
From that grisly set-up it’s not such a big step towards total World Government, which means a totalitarian dictatorship from which there can be no escape (unless you can afford to book a flight to Mars). It couldn’t be a World Government unless it was a dictatorship, because it would only take one country to opt out and it wouldn’t be a World Government, and you don’t think the plotters have come all this way to have one or two countries escape the net, do you?
Oh, and another nice thing they have planned for us is for us all to be implanted with micro-chips, which will control how much money we have (among other things). So if the One World Government says you owe them some tax, and you say you don’t, they’ll just take it anyway, and if you cause too much trouble, they’ll just turn your chip off, and then you won’t even be able to buy a MacDonalds for lunch.
