Why or why not?

I am indifferent. It’s just not something that I care to concern myself with. It is trivial.

Why, when the god on the money isn’t the God of Abraham, but Horus, the Egyptian god.
(A little known, well-known truth.)
Do the research, it is true.

Well…….. It is.

Not relevant

Does it really matter? You’re going to spend that money anyways. And once you do, you’ll never have to see those words again.

Yes. Why change it? Why has Christianity suddenly become a bad thing? It’s not like it is saying "kill all the non-believers!!11!1!!"
July 24th, 2009 at 7:05 am
No because not everyone trusts or believes that god exists.
July 24th, 2009 at 7:05 am
Yeah…I like looking at it when I buy drugs and hookers.

No. The orginal motto should be put back on. That would be E Pluribus Unam(From Many One.). Much more fitting it you ask me. The U.S. is a secular nation and it is time the xtianist fundies realize it.

NO … you can’t trust a NONexistent god thingy
July 24th, 2009 at 7:05 am
no one cares about anything on money except the for the numbers in the corners
July 24th, 2009 at 7:05 am
It’s just money.
Why does it matter?
I’ve been all over the world, spending all kinds of money, and I never gave a rat’s petookis if it said "Mohammed is God’s Prophet" or "King of Thailand, God, Everlasting" on it.

In God We Trust
Well I still have more confidence in this quote ("In God We Trust")
then in our strong economy

There are more important things out there that deserve our concern far more than writing on currency. But I say NO. America is a secular nation. And there’s a little thing called freedom of religion. It should have never been put on currency in the first place.

YES b/c God is real, and if your an illegel immigrant you should deal with it !!

Obviously not.
Unfortunately, there are bigger fish to fry at the moment. There is a never-ending push from the radical religious right to officially graft their agenda to the Constitution. The best thing to focus on is to prevent them from getting their foot further in the door. Just pick one of the many ways in which they hope to undermine the first amendment and fight. In this light, let "In God We Trust" be a constant reminder to you that there are MANY people out there who would very much like control over your life.

No, it should not.
But, considering the bigger social problems from religious movements (abortion, same-sex marriage, intelligent design, etc), religious writing on dollar bills is just too trivial. I’d rather spend the attention and effort on fixing bigger problems first.

No, because it’s stupid. Why not in Thor we trust on the money? Or in Zeus we trust?
July 24th, 2009 at 7:05 am
Because I don’t trust in him… nuff said
July 24th, 2009 at 7:05 am
No because it wasn’t put onto the money until the 1950’s (same with the pledge) and honestly it might be considered unconstitutional considering that the US Government is not supposed to endorse any religion. By saying in God we trust, you can argue that they are not endorsing any specific religion, but they are certain NOT talking about certain religions as well. So, it endorses some and excludes others. It hasn’t been taken off the money because of the popularity of it, but I think if it were looked at without any bias then it would be considered unconstitutional.

no. because the united states was founded as a secular nation. freedom of religion also means freedom from religion.
the religious right hijacked the government in the 50s.
now we want it back .

Sub prime debt, huge national debt, depression, dollar on the floor and the largest number of poor and destitute in the civilized world!!
Surely absolute proof that such trust was severely misplaced!!

You can expect a visit from the "anti illegal immigration society" in the next 24 hrs!! Boy are you in BIG trouble!!
