Speaking as a full time trader..

You have three routes into the industry.

1. Know someone or be related to someone in the industry. You may be able to start at the bottom at their firm

2. Education - it is ridiculously competitive so make sure you pick the right subjects, you should call target companies where you would like to work & ask what subjects you should take. Who knows, you might even be able to get into an intern programme [these are stupidly competitive now as well].

3. Experience. There is actually nothing to stop you currency trading now. Most online brokers will let you open an account start trading - warning it is high risk, so open a paper money account & trade pretend money at first. If you can prove that you can trade profitably you've shown the right sort of stuff.

You now need to subscribe to our free newsletter at http://www.thedailytradingreport.com & fill you head with the right sort of thinking. Read our currency pages & you will get some trading ideas & an idea of how we view the markets.
