live account works exactly the same as the practice accounts, only difference is you working with real money so take advantage of the practice and don't jump in till you know exactly what you are doing, you can lose everything in a matter of seconds........

I think it depends on which provider you have a demo account with. Most providers will have a demo account which mimics the live trading platform. Therefore the prices move exactly the same way in the demo platform and the live platform. The leverage will also be the same in both platforms.

A live and Demo account are exactly the same..except without the risk!

The site I learnt Forex from is http://www.forex4pros.co.uk I then signed up through http://www.forex4pros.co.uk/4xp-forex-place.html at the bottom there s a link and with that you can open an account with 4xp for just $100 instead of $500.

4xp uses MT4 trading system which is the best.

In three months I am now upto $1,637

They also have a forum which is good for posting for questions regarding trading etc http://forexforum.forex4pros.co.uk

Live and demo forex accounts have similarities and differences. Demos do not operate the same as a live account in all respects.

A demo's interface will be the same as a live account. Meaning the operations of how to place trades and use the platform will be the same. The quotes you see for each currency pair will also be the same.

Where a demo will differ is in the execution. Demos cannot simulate slippage which is important for market, stop loss, pending, entry orders, etc. So I wouldn't consider the demo to be exactly the same. The reason why demos don't simulate this is because the orders are not being sent to the banks for execution or the brokers dealing desk which would determine the availability of liquidity at that moment. Your demo order is not competing against a live account order.
