More signs we are getting close to the second coming?
I’ve heard that one currency brings us closer to one global leader. I don’t claim this belief…I just hear things.

Listen, when I was about 18 (Almost 20 years ago), some born-against Christian group were on campus. They set up a meeting. Me and my buddies went, mostly because we figured it would be a good laugh - and it was.
This preacher was going on about the Euro and the signs of the Apocalypse and how they had a supercomputer called the beast and how all their citizens would be identified and it’s all in the book of Revelation and the European Union is the Beast and blah…, blah…, blah….
I also got my hands on a book that said the Soviet Union was the beast and this guy had put all these Bible quotes together to point to signs found in Russia and why the Godless Atheist nation of the USSR was the beast and blah…, blah…, blah,.,, and blah…,blah…, blah….
Every generation tends to think its time is the most important time there ever was.
Nothing new under the Sun.

And even if we were going toward one global currency, it’s a sign of increased international trade, not the end of the world.
Think about it: wouldn’t it make more sense, if countries are going to be doing more business together, that they use a common system of exchange? Rather than having to change currencies back and forth all the time, currencies whose relative values constantly fluctuate?
I don’t know a whole lot about global economics, but it seems to me if we went in that direction, that there’d be some sound reason for it.

A universal currency would mean a lot fewer trade headaches. How exactly is it evidence of a "second coming"? I must have missed the part about how a common currency was a sign of Jesus’ imminent return.

It could be, we just need to be faithful and keep watching for all the signs to come forth.
