Accepting pennies as legal currency?

I am going to go pay a fine in pennies just to tick the people off. I know that they have to accept it, rolled or not, but i would like to have proof in US law. Does someone know what law that is? and also the law that it does not need to be rolled? Pennies are legal currency yet so many places won’t accept large amounts. help!! much appreciated!
it’s a library fine it’s actually not my fault for the fine, they kept charging me for books i never had, after numerous back and forth calls they refused to waive the fine. this is what they deserve.

Do you think a single, global currency will eventually replace all country-specific money…?

…it seems Europe is well on the way to adopting the Euro, and now there are reports that Asian countries are looking into adopting a single Asian currency, so I wonder if this trend will eventually lead to a single, global currency. Would it be a good thing or a bad thing? What are your opinions?
