What’s the easiest way to get rid of foreign currency? I know for pennies, dimes, nickles, and quarters you can throw it in with other change and people don’t usually notice. But what if you have something like a $2 Canadian coin and you don’t want to go to Canada to get rid of it? :p
I have two $2 Canadian coins.. what’s the easiest way (without going to Canada) for me to get rid of them and get something (hopefully $2 each?) from them? If I take them to a bank, will they take them?
So there is basically no way of getting rid of them (without just leaving them somewhere or something) unless I go to Canada? That sucks, I’m I’m Pennsylvania and have no reason to go to Canada and never plan on it

Sorry, your bank will not exchange foreign coins. I keep my leftover change and use it the next time I travel to that country, It has come in handy many times.

Donate them to a charity. There are some charities that are run by the airlines that collect currency of any kind. they have enough that it’s worth the effort of exchanging it. Another possibility is to just exchange them with someone else in your area that will be making a trip to Canada.
