But it would kinda screw up our system. We print off lots of bills every year. Essentially it would do what happened to Germany after WWI Our bills would become worthless. Also, the reason why we had the great depression was because we americans invested our gold outside of the US. So it hit the economy pretty hard. What are we doing now? Investing in places like China. So our currency would not only lose value, but it would hurt the economy. Inflation would be solved though. Ron Paul wanted to do this very thing.
