It sure seems that way, now let’s do something about it! Write to congressmen, go to tea parties, etc……
We really have to do something active to stop this travisty.

It sure seems that way.
It’s really due to very strong lobbies and our representative form of government. When legislation is passed, it seems to us like a vote and it’s done. It’s not quite that simple. As bills go thru our legislature they are debated and changed. Often the bill can not be designed to satisfy enough lawmakers to get the vote to pass it so trade-off occur to influence votes to pass the measure.
So a lawmaker may get something special for his vote like extra $ for his state. None of this is free but it occurs daily and consequently excessive $ get spent.
Outside of government this type of trade-off might be called bribery.

Obama needs to destroy the US before 2012. He will not be re-elected and he hopes to cause a state of emergency before then in order to suspend the Constitution of the United States and declare himself Dictator and halt elections.
