If you buy £100 (GBP) and it costs you $ 160 (USD) then 1GBP=1.6 USD and 1/1.6  [0.625] GB pounds  = 1USD  So an item costing $15 will convert into (15 /1.6= 9.375 GBP ).

So what ever the rate is that you get for you your GBP  ( usually shown on your currency slip) will be divided by the amount of US Dollars.
