Hi I’m trying to get an int price to display in the correct currency format i.e $1.50 instead of of the $150 its displaying, I’ve been playing around with NumberFormat but havn’t been able to work it out, if someone could help I’ll love you forever. It shows as the $150 with the code below
NumberFormat number = NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance();
return number.format(price);
Why even bother answering if your have no idea what your talking about.

What I mean is:Is there any real difference effected between the two?
Most currencies have two units-the main one such as the dollar, pound, euro, rupee,etc and the secondary one like the cent, penny, paisa, etc.But the Japanese yen has only the yen, nothing else.
Does this have any economic effect? Is there any reason or justification for either type of currency system?And on a related note, why are most currencies comprised of two types of units, anyway?
The other sections failed me on this(even the Economics section), so I thought I’d try my luck here since I usually get some kind of response in this section.Thanks.

They are issued by the IMF and their value is based on a basket of global currencies, including the dollar.You can look up more about them on Wikipedia, etc.
