Can a Currency Exchange verify if a check has all the funds available on it?

Not even banks can always tell if there are funds available for a check. If in doubt, go to a branch of the bank the check was drawn on and ask them if the funds are in the account. Even then, the check may be counterfeit or a forgery and it won’t matter if the funds are there. You’ll have to pay back every cent if the check isn’t real.
