I have been living in California for over a year but haven’t applied to vote in the state. My car is also registered in California. Does that technically make me a California resident and pay their stupid income tax rate? I was a Montana resident before.

I was realizing how we always say the Canadian Dollar is just slightly weaker than the USA Dollar.
HOWEVER, the Canadian Toonie is stronger than the US Dollar, the British Pound, AND the Euro.
So to be a SUPER STRONG CURRENCY, why can’t Canadians just say?
"Alright…you wanna play our currency down? Not so fast…we will now call Loonies "Half-Toonies"
And the single unit of currency in Canada will be "The Toonie"

And then things will get interesting.
For example, 1/100th of a Toonie can be a Toonie-cent.
So you’d say it’s only 48 Toonie-cents per Litre of Petro-Canada.
Now you would just need a new coin called "The 2-Toonie coin = 4 Loonies" and it would be made out of soft-wood lumber so it would be known as "The Woody"
Edit: If you take a Toonie, forget that it is 2 Loonies!……..We will call it 1 TOONIE! (It would be like 1 NEW Canadian Dollar)….yes it can be compared
it will be matched with 1 US Dollar, not 2.
