It really depends on the market you try to enter. Cost of living in the USA is really different depending on where you go. I live in Virginia Beach and make half what some of my less qualified classmates are making back home in NYC. My money stretches further in Virginia Beach, so it works out to even, but it’s really hard to put a dollar figure on something like that.
What you should do is research a few different markets you’d want to live in, search for jobs in those markets and adjust your expectations for the market you are trying to enter.
Some markets are saturated with tech (San Francisco) while others are less competitive.
Also, don’t expect to necessarily get in on certs alone. They help, but as someone who does hiring for our company, we see plenty of people who have a laundry list of certs, but are lost when placed in front of a mis-configured switch, a broken router or a server with major errors. Make sure you have some hands on before you get out there. Some companies will run you through a little "quiz" before they make a hiring decision.
I have less horror stories about paper CCNP’s than I do about paper MCSE’s. If someone is a CCNP they generally know their stuff.
So, you are definitely qualified (on paper) just do your research and know your stuff and you should expect anywhere from 35-65K depending on the market. If this isn’t your first job you will demand more.
GOOD LUCK!!!
