Hi I am traveling to Canada this friday. I have a lot of different currencies from a lot of countries but I cannot exchange them here in Scotland because they don’t exchange them for some reason. The currencies I have are from Algeria, Nigeria, Tunisia, Central Africa and Egypt and together they make a significant amount that I could put to good use. I have collected these as I traveled around. My question is can I convert these to British Pounds or Canadian dollars at an airport or are they of no use anymore?

Algerian and Tunisian currency is restricted and cannot be exchanged outside the country, in fact it should not have been taken out of the country. Most banks will only exchange nores not coins.

It sounds like you are in possession of restricted currencies which you are not supposed to take out of the country.
If banks wont take them then, it is very unlikely any one will.
You could also try a Post Office or travel agents but my suggestion is that you try exchanging one currency at a time, it may be that you have too many different ones and it is causing suspicion. 00
