Of course. If, for example, you have GBP and you buy USD, yu would then be LONG USD and SHORT GBP

Yes….. It’s really not shorting like a stock. There are no restrictions. Nothing to borrow. No special arrangements.
In FX you trade pairs against each other like EUR/USD. you can sell this pair or buy it. It’s not "shorting" but in effect you’re favoring one currency vs another depending on whether you buy or sell.

Yes, In Forex you can short any currency pair you want to. This market has a tremendous liquidity and there’s not an "uptick" rule, so you can buy as well as sell any currency instantly.
