Because Spain and portugal would not be far behind and it really wouldn’t work which would just cause a run on the Euro anyway. Germany’s chancelor has already done the political damage by doing the "neccessary" bailout so they can’t afford to stop now.

That is exactly what needs to happen. Greece lied to gain entry. There was supposed to be a penalty for lying.
