You will fin in forums a lot of people try to mislead you, If I was new to forex I would use etoro, they have a great social feel about their platform where you can talk to traders and even copy professional traders trades. If you go into forums people tend to talk rubish and try to sell crap software.

The best site is your local bookstore. Read everything you can about stock trading and Forex trading, and then you’ll have enough information to start developing your own strategies.

98% of the stuff on the web are scams when it comes to FX. You need to read books on Forex as well as books on Trading. Babypips.com can be helpful (a little).
In order of importance, you need to learn;
A. Trading psychology.
B. Risk management.
C. Technical or Fundamental Analysis
Here are two web sites to keep an eye on;
http://www.forexcrunch.com/
http://www.fx360.com/

ForexFactory.com is a good site. DailyFX is also pretty good.
But think I should warn you, forex trading is very difficult, I would say more difficult than trading stock indexes or commodities http://www.myforexdot.org.uk/forex-trading.html
Is there some reason why you want to trade Forex instead of shares. The best trading systems for trading Forex are trend following systems, these are actually the most difficult type of system for most people to follow.

As a 10+ year Forex trader, here is how I trade to make money…
If you want, you can also follow these steps. I’ve dumbed it down to the easiest, yet safest way to win in the Forex.
1) Open a live account at http://bit.ly/iPV25O
It will trade automatically, following all those top 20 strategies.
2) Select AAAFx broker, and open MICRO account with 200:1 leverage.
3) Deposit at least $300 in your account to start.
4) "Add to Portfolio" the top 20 strategies at http://bit.ly/mJiyZV
5) Don’t add any strategy that makes less than 10 average pips per trade.
6) …when adding strategies, set maximum number of trades to 5, and…
7) …select lot size of 0.1 "mini" lots for each $1000 in your account.
9) Then sit back, relax and take a vacation as you make easy Forex money.
