What do all the terms mean? I know this sounds stupid but it onfuses me. I have British satellite (Sky) and on shows I always hear and see things like "P", "Quid" "Pence" etc.
I'm assuming that Quid and P both refer to pounds but sometimes I will see prices like 50p for something small and other times for something quite large and obviously not cheap.

I currently use an SSB brokerage/CMA account, but need an account that can carry multiple currencies, allow me to trade on multiple exchanges and allow basic cash management, such as bill pay and normal checking-like features. Any idea if one like this exists?

I want to do some investing, what pitfalls are there in the following type of currency maket investing?
I will use 10,000 euro and buy dollars with this at the current exchange rate off about 1.55. When the dollar gains or the Euro weakens, to a rate of 1.3 I will sell the dollars and buy Euro thus making a profit.
What problems are there with this apart from the commission the bank will charge me?
Thanks for the info:
I have the money spare, so I can sit out the time, of course I would have to make a bigger profit than leaving it in the bank. But a serious amount of money can be made with bigger sums. I expect the dollar to gain after the November elections.
