Carb, the USD/EUR is at a important resistance around 1.58(currently trades at 1.5778/81 and if breaks through it will pop to the next which is 1.5978. Above that is uncharted territory and fear it is goes up again, above 1.60 that is lights out for the American economy as the price of fuel will be too high to sustain a profit in the trucking industry.
I've opened an account on GFT, but when trading the news there is a huge slippage between the stop buy price I wanted & the execution price. GFT has a dealing desk.

Hi, lets say I open an account with $250, therefore qualifying for $100,000 margin balance (to my knowledge). If I'm trading EUR/USD and I buy 30 lots, INSTANTLY my losses are $300 (at least) even though they will, later on, increase, wouldn't my trade autoclose thus eliminating my original account equity?
