I am having a lot of difficulty figuring out how to calculate what forex is actually costing me. I am currently trading with a demo account but have no clue how much margin it has on it. It is an fxcm account and it says equity 50000 and usable margin 50000. However, if I buy 10,000 work of euros for example it hardly puts a dent in either of them. I am having a hard time figuring out exactly how much I am risking vs. borrowing on margin etc. I realize I am not near ready to begin actually trading this but I am curious.

I am new to forex and I am very interesting in trying this thing. But when browsing the internet I find many disappointment from people that trades forex. Anybody with experience please tell me how to find legitimate and qualify forex community out there? Thank you!

I am brand new to forex and I can’t find this information listed anywhere in any of the introductory courses. They simply aren’t basic enough. Please don’t use the terms long and short because it’s hard to figure out what you’re talking about.

for example i you were to invest 1 billion dolars in one single trade would that have a big affection in the trend of the pair, or 500000000 dollars, or 200000000 dollars, or 100000000 dollars, or what ammount of money would be enough to change the trend or affect the price of the pair?
